Kaitlyns place is very cute and provides all the amenties you would need. Its a small space but well thought out and provided for. You can tell she's really gone above and beyond to make the place cozy.
A few things that made it hard to give 5 stars are:
1. The neighborhood is older and this place in particular is in an alleyway. It can look slightly dodgey at first since there are some surrounding houses that could use some upkeep. That being said, many people have stayed here and built a solid reputation for it being a quiet, peaceful neighborhood.
2. We kept running into ant problems. Ants happen, totally get it. But we did have to restrategize how to store our travel snacks.
3. We had a hard time figuring out the heater system at first. Once we figured it out, it worked fine though.
Historic Old Colorado City is a very cute little town, right next to lots of touristy activities. And Kaitlyn is a very friendly, communicative host. She knows what she's doing! Chantel

Kaitlyn is a wonderful host! Very kind and responsive. Thank you, Kaitlyn! This is run by a company who owns many properties. Kaitlyn manages the properties.
The home was not clean. There was a very obvious wet dog smell as soon as we entered and it lingered. The house was not clean. It was actually disgusting! There was dog hair everywhere! The floors, the chairs were covered in it. We used a lint roller to clean one off one chair and put a towel down on another because it was so gross. The bathroom was also covered in dog hair. Around the toilet, baseboards, up the wall, just everywhere!!! There was mud on the bathroom door. It was so bad that we didn’t want to put anything on the floor or unpack our stuff. You couldn’t pay me enough to sit on that rug to do my exercises or to sit on the couch! Ew! The table wasn’t clean. The kitchen counter wasn’t clean. There were crumbs and dog hair along the cupboards and appliances. Live ants as well. We are still waiting to receive our refund. Kristen

Wonderful stay in this beautifully decorated and equipped Airbnb. One of my best stays yet! I felt completely at home and everything I needed was in the unit and especially in the kitchen. Super clean and well organized with lots of thoughtful touches. Close to all that Old Colorado City has to offer which made the stay even better. I will definitely stay again! Yiyuan

I had a pleasant stay at this Airbnb. The location was quiet and peaceful, providing a nice retreat. The detached building had its own entrance and parking space, which was convenient. The room was clean with lovely cosmetic decorations.
I did have an issue with the power, as half of the plugs and the overhead lighting didn’t work. I contacted the owner, who guided me to flip switches on the circuit breaker in the main house, which didn’t resolve the issue. While I appreciated the help, I found it uncomfortable to go into someone else’s home for this.
Overall, a nice stay, but I’d recommend ensuring everything is fully functional for future guests.
P.S. If you’re not comfortable driving on uneven dirt roads, you may have trouble accessing the private driveway, as it’s the only route to the property.
