We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home in Colorado Springs! The location was perfect, close to the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. The house was spotless and stocked with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, and we loved starting our mornings with coffee on the patio while enjoying the mountain views and our nights around the fire pit and in the hot tub. Our host was friendly, responsive, and made check-in a breeze. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area! The property worked for our group, but several undisclosed issues affected our experience. The yard was overgrown, raising safety concerns, especially for families with kids. The upstairs bathroom had poorly done repairs, and the master bath appeared to have black mold. A broken recliner, dirty living room floors, and multiple questionable repairs in the downstairs bathroom, including a sagging ceiling and loose exhaust fan, were not shown in photos. Basement flooring was unfinished, and a bedroom door had a large hole. The pack and play smelled like feces and lacked a pad. Additionally, the listing did not clearly mention the three sets of stairs, which could be difficult for older guests or families with young children. While the home met our basic needs, had these issues been disclosed, we may have reconsidered booking. We hoped to enjoy this stay and had plans to grill out in the backyard only to find out that the grill was charcoal and there was no charcoal provided. Before checking in I asked if there would be propane for the grill and the response was there is a grill for use. We also asked if there was a basketball to play with the family. Her response was to bring one. We are traveling from TN. Good thing we didn’t buy one because the rim of the hoop was bent halfway down. The overall cleanliness of the house was not very impressive. Dirty dishes in the cabinets, bathrooms were dirty and dated. Sheets had red stains on them. Didn’t use the hot tub as there was a camera pointed directly at it. All this to say I wouldn’t stay here again next time we visit springs. My brothers slept upstairs and had to go buy fans to keep the temperature down at night. Check cancellation policy if you do decide to rent. The host was responsive but lacked clarity and felt deceiving. The host is very responsive &friendly, but the communication was very confusing & contradictory. I’m guessing this is due to an attempt at auto-replies. The layout was perfect for our large group of people. The property is well stocked with lots of towels, toilet paper, dishes, flatware, etc. However, lawn is completely overgrown with weeds. There’s a spot in a bathroom where it looks like the ceiling is falling in perhaps due to a leak. The screen door fell off just by opening the sliding door. We booked this property over others because it had a pack and play and a high chair which I was told would be set up and ready. We set up the pack n play ourselves. The high chair was actually something we had to attach to a chair. We had to search for a while only to find it filthy in the garage. It was not usable for us. Temperature control is really rough. The upstairs 3 rooms stay very warm while the downstairs 2 stay cool. There’s a camera pointing straight at the hot tub which is creepy.
