Katlyn's place was exactly as advertised! It was incredibly spacious, spotless, and had such a welcoming, homey feel. Everything was thoughtfully arranged to make the stay comfortable and relaxing. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay! The unit is one of three or maybe four in one house. The upstairs neighbors we not excessively noisy, but we could hear them moving around, shifting furniture, showering, etc. Those are all normal things, but it did wake us up a few times.
The house next door is abandoned and boarded-up. Some windows are broken. Based on our observations, the area has a lot of crime, drug use, and homelessness. So we were a little concerned about safety. But we did not have any trouble.
We had a little snafu with the coffee maker. The power outlet that it was plugged-in to did not work. We discovered this at 4 AM and tried testing the coffee maker in other outlets. I guess it was too early and we did not test thoroughly enough, so we assumed the problem was the machine, not the outlet. Turns out we were wrong. By the 3rd morning we figured it out and had coffee.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. We were comfortable in the bed. The bathroom and kitchen are very clean and modern. Did not love sharing a front door with the other two rentals in the house. One group consistently left the front door unlocked each time they entered or exited. We did have our own private entrance behind the front door that remained locked. The sidewalk in front of the home had a lot of walkers, so it would have been nice for the front door to remain locked as well. Also, the shower was very small - barely larger than an RV shower. However, the rental was exactly as pictured and as described. It was clean, decorated well, and had everything we needed. We were also close to a lot of good restaurants and coffee shops and were able to walk to Weidner Field.
