The space
Welcome to Vermijo Flat! This thoughtfully designed upper-level apartment blends modern simplicity with everyday comfort. This light-filled retreat is ideal for couples, small families, or working professionals looking for a relaxing and well-equipped home base in Colorado Springs.

To access the backyard, simply head down the stairs from the unit and around the side of the property. This outdoor space is shared only with the downstairs unit, offering a quiet place to unwind and recharge.

You’ll have access to two clearly labeled parking spaces: one inside the detached garage (marked with Unit A on the garage door) and one directly behind it. Vermijo Flat is located in the private upstairs apartment above the garage, with entry just steps from your assigned spots.
Guest access
🔑 Guests have full access to the upper-level apartment Unit #A, including all rooms, bathrooms, the kitchen, and laundry area. The backyard is shared only with the downstairs unit in the duplex, offering a comfortable space to enjoy the outdoors. Please note that there is a separate patio area adjacent to the backyard that is reserved exclusively for the downstairs unit. Two clearly marked parking spots are available: one in the garage and one directly behind it. If you have any questions or need anything during your stay, just let us know—we’re happy to help!

📜 Rental Agreement
For a seamless booking experience, a Rental Agreement is required for all reservations. Once your reservation is confirmed, we’ll provide details for completing the agreement.
🔑 Check-In Process
For a seamless check-in experience, your unique code along with your check-in instructions will be updated into your personalized guidebook on the morning of your arrival. You’ll use this code for entry.
☕ Starter Supply
We’ve prepared a starter supply that includes paper towels, coffee K-cups, toilet paper, shampoo, body wash, and plush white towels. We hope these amenities add an extra touch of comfort to your stay.
⏰ Unauthorized Late Checkout Fee
$20 per half hour late.
💵 Additional Fees: A mandatory damage waiver or security deposit will be collected after booking. For guests bringing dogs, there is a mandatory pet fee of $100 per dog, collected after booking. A maximum of 2 dogs is allowed per reservation unless otherwise approved. No other animals are permitted. Optional services, including early check-in, late check-out, and additional guests, can be arranged upon request and are subject to availability. These additional fees help cover the cost of reworking the schedule or adding an additional cleaner if needed. Please message us ahead of time for pricing and availability.
🔐 Please note: This home is the upper unit of a duplex. While fully private and thoughtfully separated from the downstairs unit, it shares the backyard space with the unit below.

Absolutely stunning and Kaitlyn was amazing to work with! Kaitlyn was an excellent communicator. I never waited for a reply to my messages. The location of this flat is excellent - two blocks to the center of Old Colorado City, which is busting with restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops and art galleries.<br/>I did have issues with wi-fi connectivity throughout my stay and the cleaning crew didn’t do a great job with dust and kitchen grease. I let Kaitlyn know and I’m convinced she’ll correct these for future guests. <br/>The flat is nicely updated and well-maintained. Furniture is a bit dated but also kind of boho so it may just be that it’s not my personal preference. Cindy

Great host and location - just a 5-minute walk to OCC. Listing was accurate, and the high chair for our toddler was a thoughtful touch. We enjoyed our stay in Kaitlyn’s apartment in August. Situated on the second floor, the space is clean, with lots of windows, well furnished, airy, and very spacious. It felt like home! Quiet neighborhood yet walkable to shops and restaurants. Parking is available off street too. Kaitlyn was always very prompt, kind and helpful in her responses. Wonderful base from which to explore Colorado city!
